About the Program

The Preparatory Course for Admission to Government Schools teaches students of English Language and Mathematics to enable them to take the Singapore AEIS examination.

The course will prepare and equip students for the AEIS examination with the aim to gain placement into Singapore government schools in both Primary and Secondary schools. (P1 – P5/ Sec 1 – Sec 3)

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should meet the following minimum entry requirements:

• Permissible age range for Primary or Secondary level
• Schooling up to and including potential admission level

Course Syllabus

Each level program is a 6-month classroom based intensive program with a focus on English Language and Mathematics.

Evaluation and Assessment by Ministry of Education

• English and Mathematics test based on the level preceding the level the student applies for

Curriculum Structure

Primary 1-5

To prepare students with the fundamental understanding of English language and Mathematics by providing -

• a good foundation in basic English grammar

• exposure to common vocabulary themes
• a good foundation in basic mathematical skills as taught in local schools
• ample opportunity to practise AEIS examination type questions

Mathematics

Secondary 1 -3

To prepare students with the fundamental understanding of English language and

Mathematics by providing -

• a good foundation in basic English grammar

• exposure to common vocabulary themes
• a good foundation in basic mathematical skills as taught in local schools
• ample opportunity to practice AEIS examination type questions
