About the Program

The Diploma in Education and Teaching is designed to provide in depth knowledge on different philosophies and theories that underpin educational perspectives, understanding the human growth, development and learning from an educational perspective and an understanding of the socio-political processes that affect education.

The program aims to provide early childhood, primary schooling teachers and parents a holistic growth in their professional development as well as professional academic and vocational qualifications towards providing quality education for children in Asia-Pacific Regions.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should meet the following minimum entry requirements:

  • 5 GGE ‘O’ level passes (including English Language) or its equivalent
  • Successfully Completed 12-years of formal education and have either
  • Passed the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) or
  • Have acquired a minimum of Band 6 in IELTS.

Program Structure

For those pursuing full-time the duration of the programme is 6 months and those taking part-time the duration will be 9 months. This programme involves classroom lectures, group discussion and case studies. Participants must successfully complete all 10 developmental modules to qualify for the award of Diploma in Education and Teaching. The course units and details are as follows :

DET107: Instructional Strategies & Pedagogy

DET109: Professional Ethics in Teaching
DBM401: Graduate Project
