About the Program

This course is designed to provide the language ability of participants who need to study or work where English is the general language of communication. It covers the four language skills listening, reading, writing and speaking.

This course aims to enhance and equip individual participants in listening, reading, speaking and writing skills needed at a workplace.

Eligibility Criteria

The course is open to all prospective candidates who need to converse in English at the workplace and for daily communication:

• Individuals who intend to migrate to a country where English is the language of communication
• Individuals who intend to work in a country where English is the language of communication
• Individuals who intend to enhance their conversation language proficiency.

Course Syllabus

The specific structure of the program consists of 4 modules as follows:

• Module 1: To develop linguistic ability to understand Basic Grammar.
• Module 2: To develop linguistic ability on both Reading and Listening skills in communication.
• Module 3: To develop linguistic ability on Writing skills to adopt and speak accurate English, using current formats as well as the adoption of tone, form, layout, content and composition appropriate to the requirements of a given situation.
• Module 4: To develop linguistic ability to Speak basic English texts, able to have a simple conversation and speaking practicum.

Duration: 12 month

Intake for year 2011: January, April, July, October.
