About the Program

IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, is an examination designed to assess the language ability of candidates who need to study or work where English is the language of communication. IELTS is jointly managed by the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (Cambridge ESOL), British Council and IDP: IELTS Australia. IELTS conforms to the highest international standards of language assessment.

This preparatory course aims to enhance and equip individual participants with necessary skills in listening, reading, speaking and writing skills needed in preparation for the IELTS examination.

Participants must successfully pass the IELTS that is jointly managed by the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (Cambridge ESOL), British Council and IDP: IELTS Australia. IELTS conforms to the highest international standards of language assessment.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should meet the following minimum entry requirements:

• Possess at least primary school leaving examination (including English) or its equivalent
• Passed the internal English placement test and its equivalent

Course Syllabus

The duration of this programme is 3, 6, 9 and 12 months, for those pursuing on full-time and for those taking part-time, the duration will be 6 and 12 months respectively to cover the following modules:

a.Reading
b.Writing
c.Speaking
d.Listening

Intake for year 2011: January, April, July, October.
