About the Program

The Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management will groom students to be service-oriented and make significant contributions to Singapore's hospitality industry.

This programme is suitable for students who plan to develop their career in hospitality and tourism management, potentially as owners or managers of a medium-sized hospitality company. Upon completion of the programme students will be able to understand the role of hospitality management.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should meet the following minimum entry requirements:

  • IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL 525 or its equivalent (applicable for international students only)
  • Possess at 5 ‘O’ level or ‘N’ level passes (including English) or its equivalent
  • ITE NITEC or NTC or its equivalent

Program Structure

For those pursuing full-time the duration of the programme is 6 months and those taking part-time the duration will be 9 months. This programme involves classroom lectures, group discussion, and case studies. Participants must successfully complete all the 10 developmental modules to qualify for the award of Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management. The course units and details are as follows:

DBM 102: Business Ethnics
DBM 103: Principles of Marketing
DBM 105: Business English & Communications
DBM 106: Managing People and Human Resource Management
DBM 108: Operations Management
DBM 308: Casino Management
DBM 309: Strategic Retail Management
DBM 310: Convention & Event Management
DBM 401: Graduate Project
DBM 450 : Internship (for full-time students only)

Intake for year 2011: January, April, July, October.
