1. Career Services
1.1

This service offer assistance to students in self-assessment, career exploration, career decision-making and planning, and in acquiring job-hunting techniques.

Individual appointment can be arranged with our career coach/counselor in OSW office. Any information exchanged between the student and the career coach/counselor is considered personal and confidential. No information is released without the student’s permission. |

The following career counseling services are available for students: |

- Career Planning/Self-Assessment
To assist students in assessing their strength, interests, skills and values and identify potential careers that match the students’ profiles. Students will be guided carefully amidst the myriad of confusing messages they may be receiving about career opportunity from friends, family and the media.
- Exploring Careers
To work with students to develop their ideas about a career and offer advice on researching and approaching the job search. Students will be informed on the variety of career and job search resources available in the career resource centre, homepage and Internet.
- Resume Writing
To offer students advice and review their cover letters and resumes.
- Interviewing Skills
To prepare students for the interviews by discussing the guideline or arranging for a mock interview. Commonly-asked questions in an interview may be reviewed and practiced to give students the confidence for the interview.

2. Pastoral Care Service
2.1
|
The Service is to help students with problems pertaining to personal or academic matters.
|
2.2
|
The counselor at OSW offers a friendly, caring and listening ear to any student who needs someone to talk to or discuss a problem with. |
2.3
|
Students can make an appointment with OSW through one of the following methods:
-Walk-in/telephone/email/referral from lecturers All counseling sessions will be conducted in strictest confidence and no information will be disclosed without the student's consent. |
3. Medical Assistance

Students should approach staff at KIBS reception immediately if any medical assistance is required. List of emergency contacts can be found in every learning facility.
|
3.2
|
In case of emergency, students are advised not to render any medical help if they have not received any prior first aid training. |
4. Medical Insurance / Claim
4.1
|
Kings International Business School has in placed a medical insurance scheme provided by Etiqa Insurance for all students as required by CPE under EduTrust certification scheme. This medical insurance scheme shall minimally provide for an annual coverage limit of not less than S$20,000 per student, at least B2 ward in government and restructured hospitals and 24 hours coverage in Singapore and overseas (if student is involved in school-related activities) throughout the course duration.

A Singapore citizen/Permanent Resident or a non-Student Pass international student who is protected by his own medical insurance coverage in Singapore can opt out from the medical insurance scheme. CPE has mandated that students who opt out must produce their medical insurance policy for verification by the Private Education Institution (PEI). Kings International Business School will only exempt students who submit a copy of their medical insurance policy for opting out.

4.3

All students are covered under the Medical Insurance. The Insurance serves as a protection against accidental death or permanent disability and medical expenses incurred due to accidental injury. Terms and conditions apply.

4.4
|
In addition, all international students are covered under the Hospitalization and Surgical Insurance. They can seek reimbursement for hospitalizations and/or surgical charges by the flowing government hospitals (conditions apply):
Alexandra Hospital / Changi General Hospital / National University Hospital / Tan Tock Seng Hospital / Singapore General Hospital. |
4.5

The student making a claim must bring along the original medical certificate, bills and supporting documents (such as patient’s discharge summary and doctor’s memo) to OSW for verification and submission. An appropriate claim form, available at the OSW office, must be completed. |
4.6
|
OSW will inform the student on the outcome of the claim. All decisions by the insurer are final. |
5. Student Clubs & Activities
5.1
|
Clubs formed by full-time students will have the opportunity to engage in various activities, competitions and School events.
|
5.2
|
OSW will provide necessary assistance and oversee the operation of clubs and other activities. |
5.3
|
Students must seek approval from OSW for engagement in any new activities, using facilities and funds form the School. Students who are engaged in an event outside the School but using the name of the School must seek approval from OSW or a relevant department. |
5.4 |
OSW reserves the right to disband or terminate any club and activity when deemed necessary.

|
Information on clubs and the various application forms can be obtained through OSW office. |
6. Lost & Found
6.1
|
Students who have lost or found any valuables in the campus should report it to OSW or any security guard.
|
6.2
|
Students who have lost their KIBS Student Admission Card, should report directly to Office of Student Affairs (OSA). |
